The Metropolitan city of Atlanta, ranks among the top 10 highest transient cities in the U.S.  It has been voted by top ranking magazines as one of the best places in the world to live.  Atlanta holds 5th place among the top cities to many of the Fortune 500 companies in America, and is the business capital of the Southeast.  With over 68,724 businesses in the metropolitan area, it has much to offer it's communities. According to the US Business Census, as of 2002, 13,040 of the businesses in Atlanta are women-owned firms, ranking Atlanta 23rd among cities with thriving women-owned businesses.
