History

On a cold and wet Friday evening in February 2008 a group of friends were invited by Carmen A. Gray to a cozy dinner. From this gathering, the women stumbled into the beginning of something more than a typical dinner engagement. As these women began to share in a simple name game, it became evident that many of them were either entrepreneurs or professionals. Soon the name game turned into an opportunity to network and bond in a very unique way that set the tone for how future meet and greets would be held.
This "special dinner" gained the acknowledgement that since purpose was the thread that became the bond for this gathering, then quite naturally the fabric of destiny should be woven with much thought and careful planning. After praying together that evening, a survey was taken among the guests, and it was unanimously decided that this fellowship should continue and be allowed to evolve and expand into something more defined.
The anticipation of a greater calling for each woman was very evident as words of encouragement were uttered and teary embraces were shared. Each one departed, agreeing that the power of breaking bread together should be continued under the umbrella of this dynamic women's network called "Dinner With Friends".
At the next gathering, the formation of a business/social network began to develop and our meetings grew by word of mouth. The hostess and founder, Carmen A. Gray, was a former Marketing/Media consultant and was very familiar with the formalities of typical business network groups, thus she decided she wanted to offer the women something more meaningful that would add value to their business and value to their lives. So with careful planning and the insight of others, a niche for this women’s network was carved out, and development soon became underway. After only 9 months as a ‘business’, it became evident that a larger facility would be inevitable as the concept of Dinner With Friends Women's Network began to grow by word of mouth. In 2009 it became a registered business in the state of Georgia.
The DWF Network of women is headquartered in McDonough, and has attracted members from Griffin, Hampton, Locust Grove, Stockbridge, Riverdale, College Park, Decatur, Lithonia, Clarkston, Newnan, Bufford, Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Lithonia, Fayetteville and St. Mary's, Georgia. Therefore, the next phase is to move to local and regional chapters to accommodate this savvy group of women who understand what it means to connect together to share “recipes” for life, health & wealth.
